Ideas defines recreates and reshapes the world, It becomes the backbone of innovation and development. On one fine morning in May 2011, such an idea was born, one that became a reality after much toil. This idea was born in the brain of Sulabh Kumra, who was then pursuing his pre-final year of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at ITM University, Gurgaon, India. And to realize that idea, he created Team Humanoid. The multidisciplinary team took up the challenge of building a completely autonomous anthropomorphic robot within a decade. This led to the creation of Dexto:Eka:, India's first human-scale tele-operated anthropomorphic robot.

The dream lives on at ITM University through the new generation of “Team Humanoid members", an elite team of students chosen from every year and stream to keep it alive. Dexto:Eka: has laid the foundation stones to what would be a legacy of anthropomorphic masterpieces lining the corridors of the institution. Three cheers to Sulabh for not only having a vision that would lead to the birth of India's first adult sized tele-operated robot but also persevering to make his dream a reality.
